For this installation, I thought about the placement of the booth in the basement of the Rhode Island State House, opposite the luminous dome at the top of the building. I wanted to bring that sense wonderment to the booth, as if the viewer is looking up at a night sky. I also wanted to reference the 50th anniversary of the first steps on the moon— what is possible with collaboration, imagination, ingenuity and persistence.
